A calmer way to stay in touch

Remember the little things about the people you love.

The birthday. The interview they were nervous about. Their dog's name. Kinu keeps the little things in one private place and gently reminds you to reach out when it's been a while.

Free for your first 10 people. Private by default, encrypted if you sync.

A free account to start. No card.

Built for real life

For the details that
make people feel remembered.

Birthdays are only the beginning. Kinu helps you keep the small notes, stories, and reminders that usually disappear.

  • A birthday coming up

    Dad turns 60 next Friday.

Save the date once. Get reminded before it turns into an apology.

  • A detail they mentioned once

Ask Jacob how Biscuit is settling in.

They forgot they even told you. Which is exactly why it lands when you ask.

  • You meant to ask

Daniel got engaged. Ask for the story.

The surgery, the exam, the good news. Showing up afterward is the part they'll remember.

  • A friend you keep postponing

Say hi to Noah? It's been three months.

Pick up where you actually left off, with something better than "how are you?"

  • Someone far away

    Nora's evening, your morning. Call?

Distance changes the rhythm. It doesn't have to change the closeness.

  • When life gets full

Just one this week? That's plenty.

Some weeks have no room. Keep the thread warm without turning care into another task.

How it works

Write it down once.
Kinu brings it back.

A line you jot today becomes your reason to call months from now. Setup takes about two minutes, and after that a few seconds here and there is all Kinu ever asks of you.

  1. Minute one

    Add your people

Start with the handful you most want to stay close to: your sister, your oldest friend, the cousin you only see at weddings. Each gets a page of their own.

  2. Minute two

Jot it down as it happens

The half marathon she's training for. His new address. The gift idea you'll want back in December. One line is enough, typed or spoken, then let it go.

That was the whole setup. From here, Kinu waits.

  3. Weeks later

Reach out like you never forgot

When a date comes around, or months pass without a word, Kinu hands you the opening: ask how the half marathon went. Skip one and it simply goes; nothing piles up, nothing is owed. Pause anyone, anytime.

Urh, the founder of Kinu

A note from the founder

There’s a photo of me and a friend, sunburnt on a dock, about twelve years old. Ten summers side by side. We last spoke ten years ago; I no longer have his number or know his city.

I wasn’t bad at caring. I was bad at remembering to act on it.

So I built Kinu at 5 AM, between client work at the studio I run in Slovenia. It’s the infrastructure that friendship never had.

“As a mother of 2 I like this app because I can write all the milestones in one place and I am able to remember everything they receive from others (because I forget every present they get). It’s really amazing!!”

You already do it: in your head, in your notes app, on the back of receipts. Thoughtful people have always kept birthdays and little details somewhere. Kinu gives those little things one private place, so the care you already feel shows up on time. It's a private space just for you.

Your relationship data stays on your device unless you choose encrypted sync. Synced data is encrypted on your device first and protected in transit and at rest. Your relationship content is not used for analytics, ads, or social features. If privacy is what decides it for you, we compared the most private personal CRMs against each other.

Yes. Kinu is free for your first 10 people on mobile, with your data stored on your device. Kinu Plus is $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year and adds unlimited people, encrypted sync, and desktop access. A one-time Lifetime option is $149.99, available in the app.

People often find Kinu while searching for a personal CRM, and it fills that role for your personal life: one private place for birthdays, notes, and gentle reminders about friends and family. The difference is what it is built for: no pipelines, no deal stages, no networking language. If you are weighing the options, we tracked which personal CRM apps shut down and which only look dead.

Yes. Kinu asks you to sign in with a free account. Your relationship data stays on your device unless you choose Kinu Plus, which includes encrypted sync and backup.

Yes, with Kinu Plus: the same private place in your browser, kept up to date with your phone through encrypted sync. On the free plan, your data lives on your phone.

As often as feels right to you. Kinu follows the rhythm you set for each person, nudges gently when it's been a while, and reminds you before important dates. No streaks, no guilt, and you can pause anyone at any time. If you want the habit behind the app, here is how to keep in touch without it feeling like a chore.

If you're on the free plan, your data lives only on your device. Deleting the app means it's gone. With Kinu Plus, your data is encrypted and backed up, so you can restore it anytime on any device.

Anyone who wants deeper friendships, not more followers. If you have ever thought 'I should reach out to them,' Kinu helps you actually do it. It is built for fewer, deeper friendships rather than a bigger network.

No. There are no feeds, no followers, no likes, and no public profiles. Nobody else sees your Kinu. It's a private space just for you.
