Manage Your Subscription on iOS
Change, upgrade, cancel, or update your Kinu Plus plan through Apple.
If you subscribed to Kinu Plus on your iPhone or iPad, your subscription is managed by Apple, not inside Kinu. That means switching plans, cancelling, and updating your payment method all happen in your Apple ID settings. Kinu reflects the result automatically.
This is normal for any app you subscribe to on iOS, and it keeps every one of your subscriptions in one place.
Open your Kinu subscription
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your name at the top (your Apple ID)
- Tap Subscriptions
- Find and tap Kinu
From here you can see your current plan, your next renewal date, and the options to switch or cancel.
You can also get there quickly from inside the App Store. Tap your profile photo in the top corner, then tap Subscriptions.
Switch between monthly and yearly
Kinu Plus comes as Monthly ($6.99) or Annual ($69.99). The annual plan works out to roughly two months free over the year. To switch:
- On the Kinu subscription screen, you'll see the available plan options listed below your current plan
- Tap the plan you'd like to switch to
- Confirm the change
Switching from monthly to annual usually takes effect right away, and Apple adjusts the charge accordingly. Switching from annual to monthly takes effect when your current annual period ends, so you keep what you've already paid for. The exact timing is shown on Apple's confirmation screen before you commit.
The App Store always shows the live price for your country and currency, so the amount you see may differ slightly from the figures above.
Already have Lifetime?
If you bought Lifetime ($149.99, one-time), there's nothing to manage and nothing to renew. Lifetime is a single purchase, not a subscription, so it won't appear in your Apple Subscriptions list, and you'll never be charged again.
If you also have a monthly or annual subscription running alongside Lifetime, you can safely cancel the subscription using the steps below. Your Lifetime access stays in place, and Kinu will nudge you in the app if it spots a subscription you no longer need.
Cancel your subscription
Cancelling stops future charges. You won't lose any of your people or moments. Here's how:
- On the Kinu subscription screen, tap Cancel Subscription (or Cancel Free Trial if you're still in a trial)
- Confirm the cancellation
Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for. If you cancel on day 5 of a monthly cycle, you keep Kinu Plus through day 30. You simply won't be charged again after that.
Wondering what changes when Plus ends? Your data stays safe on your device. Read what happens when you cancel for the full picture.
Update your payment method
If a renewal fails or your card expired, update your payment details with Apple, not in Kinu:
- Open the Settings app and tap your name
- Tap Payment & Shipping (you may be asked to sign in)
- Update your card or payment method
Apple uses this for every subscription on your Apple ID, so once it's updated your next Kinu renewal will go through normally.
See your charges and receipts
Your Kinu Plus charges appear in your Apple purchase history, since Apple processes the payment.
- Open the Settings app and tap your name
- Tap Media & Purchases, then Purchase History
- Find Kinu in the list to see the date and amount
Apple also emails a receipt after each charge.
Why can't I manage this inside Kinu?
Apple requires that iOS subscriptions be handled through their system. It gives you one place to see and control every app subscription you have, and it means Apple's billing and consumer protections apply to your purchase. Kinu reads your status from Apple and unlocks Plus automatically once a change goes through.
Reinstalled or switched devices?
If you reinstalled Kinu or set up a new phone, your subscription might not show up straight away. You don't need to subscribe again. Open Kinu, go to Settings, tap Subscription, then Restore Purchases. See Restore Purchases for the full walkthrough and troubleshooting.
Need a refund?
Because your subscription is billed by Apple, refunds are handled by Apple too. See our Refund Policy for details and a direct link to Apple's refund request page.
